Jonah is no child's story in this one as the author guides us through the historical background and cultural context in an engaging and easy to understand manner. Great book as a devotional or for a small group. The exciting adventure of Jonah's life comes alive, touches the heart and challenges our own present day struggles.
The three chapter text is broken down into 7 sections with summaries at the end of each chapter where the major points are re-emphasized. There is a short but meaningful prayer and discussion questions to help one reflect and meditate before moving on to the next part of the text.
This book is not only an enjoyable read, but a challenging devotional and a great tool for evangelism and bible study ministry. I plan to use this book for our women's weekly bible study at our church.
